Stewards are users with advanced access to restricted tools on the wiki which is not given to administrators and bureaucrats. These tools include check user and oversight permissions. They also have the right to remove the bureaucrat bit from any user and can grant other users the interface administrator, steward, and suppressor right.

Criteria for granting

To become a steward you must meet the following requirements:

• be active on the wiki;
• already serve as a bureaucrat of this wiki.

In addition to meeting the above requirements, you must also obtain consensus from the community to elect you as a steward on the community portal.

Revocation

A steward's right can only be removed under the following circumstances:

• it is requested at TestWiki:Community portal with overwhelming consensus and with clear evidence of misusing the bit;
• in an emergency situation (e.g. demoting all bureaucrats and stewards without any reasons) where removal is necessary to protect the site. This can only be done by system administrators.
