System administrators have access to the backend of For-Test-Wiki's server, the ability to lock and unlock the database, and the ability to fully manage user rights.

Becoming a sysadmin

Unlike community positions like steward which is elected by the community, system administrator is a technical position. To become a sysadmin you should first meet the following prerequisites:

1. already serves as an bureaucrat of the wiki;
2. be an active member of the wiki.

In addition to the the above requirements, you should also have experience in the following:

1. MariaDB
2. PHP
3. the MediaWiki software
